Italy Base Team 2026

This summer, we will be taking our church to Bologna, Italy! Through many connections, the Lord has led our church to this city and connected us with local pastors who have a heart to see their city and the next generation reached. 

Our base team will be in Bologna for 6 weeks. During this time, we want to grow in our love for Jesus, love for one another, and love for those who don't know Jesus. Each morning we will spend time with Jesus individually, then we'll come together for a team time where we get to hear a message as well as pray and worship together. Every afternoon we'll go out to share the gospel on the streets of Bologna. Our desire and prayer is that we would meet people who are hungry to know Jesus and humble in heart and that we would be able to invest in them through discipleship and help show them how to follow Jesus. We're praying that those people would stay connected even after we're gone.

Not only are we believing for this trip to be a catalyst for the local church, but we are also believing it will be a catalyst for our own faith as we pursue Jesus as a family on mission! Having a longer period of time set aside without distractions of normal life enables us to learn what it can mean to follow the Lord daily and invite Him into all of our decisions. It's an opportunity to learn what it can look like to truly let the Lord lead your life as you walk in obedience to Him every step of the way.

In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus gives us the Great Commission to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them, and teaching them to obey all that He has commanded and He promises that He’ll be with us as we go. We can't wait to see what He does this summer as we say "yes" to Him and aim to live out these scriptures!
